1 1/2 cups elbow macaroni
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
dash pepper
2 cups shredded sharp cheese
Cook macaroni in boiling, salted water till tender; drain.
Melt butter; bend in flour. Add milk. Cook and stir till thick.
Add salt, pepper, and cheese; stir till cheese is melted.
Mix sauce with macaroni. Turn into 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Bake in 350 degree oven about 45 minutes, or till bubbly and browned.
Cook 6 or more slices of bacon till crisp.
Crumble bacon and serve on top of each serving if desired.
